Designing adaptability for contemporary offices
How do you design a task chair capable of meeting the demands of large-scale office environments while preserving identity, intuitive ergonomics, and responsible production?
The goal was to deliver a modular seating system design that scales for contemporary offices without losing identity or comfort. The objective was clear: create a solution that balances versatility, durability, and economic efficiency without compromising comfort or visual refinement. Today’s workplaces are fluid, shared, and constantly evolving. Therefore, seating solutions must adapt naturally to different users, postures, and spatial configurations.
EIRA needed to feel light yet solid. Technical yet emotional. Efficient yet refined.
Ultimately, the goal was to develop a conscious and adaptable chair that integrates effortlessly into diverse architectural contexts while delivering measurable value in both performance and sustainability.

Thanks to its weight-sensitive synchronous mechanism, the chair automatically adapts to the user’s body. As a result, unnecessary adjustments are minimized, and ergonomic wellbeing is supported throughout long working hours. The experience becomes natural—almost effortless.

Design journey
From natural inspiration to engineered evolution
Our team began the design process with observation. Understanding how people move, adjust posture, and interact with their workspace throughout the day became fundamental.
Nature acted as the conceptual driver. Furthermore, it was not used as decoration, but as a principle of adaptability and flow. The name EIRA reflects transformation and organic evolution, expressed through dynamic silhouette lines and a visually lightweight structure.
From initial sketches to final engineering, The design team carefully refined every curve to merge ergonomic performance with aesthetic clarity. The breathable Tale mesh reinforces both the natural expression and functional integrity, providing transparency, airflow, and structural efficiency.
Moreover, close collaboration between design and manufacturing teams ensured production efficiency without compromising durability or quality standards. Optional features—including adjustable lumbar support, sliding seat, 2D or 3D armrests, and adjustable headrest—were integrated as part of a coherent system rather than added as isolated components.
The result is a task chair that feels intuitive from the first interaction—designed to evolve alongside users, spaces, and the future of work itself.
